Gabriele Merlo

Gabriele Merlo was born in 2001 in Pavia, Italy. He received his bachelor’s degree in chemistry in 2023 and his master's Degree in Organic Chemistry cum laude in 2025 at the University of Pavia, under the supervision of Prof. Giuseppe Zanoni. During his master’s Thesis, he focused on developing new antitumoral agent based on titanocenes. In 2025, he began his Ph.D. studies in DIN Catalysis at the university of Perugia, under the joint supervision of Prof. Giuseppe Zanoni and Dr. Emanuele Casali. His doctoral work is currently focused on the synthesis of novel antitumoral drugs. Alongside his research, Gabriele serves as a teaching tutor in Laboratory of Organic Chemistry, in Laboratory of Inorganic Chemistry and in supporting first year students for exams preparation.
