Luca Madeo

Luca Madeo was born in Cariati, Italy, in 1998. He received his B.Sc. in Chemistry in 2022 from the University of Calabria (UNICAL), where his experimental thesis focused on catalytic oxidative aminocarbonylation, conducted under the joint supervision of Prof. Bartolo Gabriele.In 2024, he earned his M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry from the University of Pavia. His Master’s research, carried out under the joint supervision of Prof. Giuseppe Zanoni, focused on nitrenoid transfer reactions to access fused δ-lactams. In 2025, he began his Ph.D. studies in DIN Catalysis at the University of Perugia, under the joint supervision of Prof. Giuseppe Zanoni and Dr. Emanuele Casali. His current research is dedicated to developing new synthetic approaches inspired by the principles of atom economy.
