Cristiano Cassinera was born in Voghera, Italy, in 2000. He received his B.Sc. in Chemistry in 2022 at the University of Pavia, where his thesis focused on Organic synthesis photocatalyzed by materials based on carbon nitride. In 2024, he earned his M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry cum laude from the University of Pavia. His Master's research, conducted under the joint supervision of Prof. Giuseppe Zanoni and Prof. Ruijter Eelco, included a six-month internship at the Vrije Universiteit of Amsterdam and focused on Synthetic methodology towards regio- and stereo-selective synthesis of (+)-Aspidofractinine. He began his Ph.D. studies in 2025 at the University of Perugia, co-supervised by Prof. Luigi Vaccaro and Prof. Giuseppe Zanoni. His current research is dedicated to developing new synthetic methodologies that exploit upcycled transition metals and electrochemical reactions.
